Joseph Munyangabo is a development professional, a specialist in democracy and good governance, and a renowned public policy analyst who has managed various democracy-building programs.
Joseph has served as the Senior Technical Advisor and acting Deputy Resident Country Director for the International Republican Institute. In this capacity, he was responsible for designing and implementing capacity-building programs. This includes the USAID Political Party Competition and Consensus Building program, which enhanced the organizational and policymaking capabilities of civil society and political parties in Uganda from 2013 to 2017.
Joseph holds a Master’s degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa. He also worked as a junior lecturer at the university and was a member of the Former African Presidents Round Table Policy working group, which developed policy framework papers to guide the annual meetings of former African presidents. Currently, he serves as the Country Director for WFD Uganda.
