Our Focus Areas

Health and Well-being (HW)

PSDI aims to promote the acceptance of the African population’s capacity to achieve and advocate for the highest sustainable quality of life. This work area seeks to lead the production of research, policy, and practice that ensures this fundamental universal human right is brought to the attention of African governments and their populations, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals and the After2030 agenda for health and well-being. The focus is on research programs related to maternal health, newborn and child health, adolescent health, sexual and reproductive health, mental health, emerging and increasing degenerative diseases, HIV/AIDS, immunizations, and vaccines in Africa.

The EHCD focal area prioritizes Africa’s needs and demands for self-sufficient human capital in the face of educational inequalities and challenges across and within populations.
